Veterans Access, Choice, and Accountability Act of 2014

Allows eligible veterans to receive hospital care and medical services from non-VA healthcare providers in their communities. Veterans who reside more than 40 miles from the nearest VA medical facility or cannot get a VA appointment within the established wait time goal can get authorization to use community care options instead. This expands healthcare access for veterans when VA facilities are too far away or have limited capacity.
