Maximum Medical Improvement (MMI)

The point in medical treatment where a patient’s condition is stabilized and further improvement is unlikely. This does not necessarily mean treatment will end or that the injury has healed; rather, further medical intervention is aimed at easing discomfort rather than restoring the patient to their former self.
